#workshopwednesdays - Ellaspede, West End, Brisbane.
During our recent jump across the ditch, we found ourselves in sunny Brisbane and knew there was one spot we wanted to hit before the trek home.
We made the journey to West End, a busy little area on the side of town where you find the Ellaspede workshop tucked quietly away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
We have been following the Ellaspede boys closely for a while now, but were still blown away with the space from the minute we set foot in the door.
Ellaspede is an industrial design house, driven by Steve Barry & Leo Yip, two of the nicest guys you are likely to meet. The story is, the design duo had a bit of an out of the ordinary request to design a motorbike build for a customer and the whole thing just snowballed from there.
It's not often you see a workshop utilizing design in the early stages of builds, but this is exactly what you find here. The small team at the West End warehouse merge modern design and drawing techniques even before the grinder hits metal, choosing to design bikes and digitally draw up plans in the early stages.
The customer knows exactly whats in store for the build and the boys in the workshop can get straight to work. By the looks of the floor during our visit, there isn't a shortage of it to go around either.

We have always had a soft spot for 2 strokes, so this RD definitely was a favourite.
As you can see from a quick walk through the shop, the team here do it all.
